Angeline

July 16, 2028
Cap-Rouge, Haiti

Angeline is an 8-year-old girl who lives in the community of Cap Rouge, near Jacmel in southeastern Haiti. She comes from a farming family where daily life requires hard work and sacrifice. Her father, André Jean, and her mother, Ginnette Jean Philippe, work tirelessly in the fields to provide for their six children. Despite their dedication, the harvest is often not enough to meet the family's needs, leaving them in a very difficult financial situation.

The family lives in a modest three-room home built with concrete blocks and a tin roof, with a small front porch. Their home is simply furnished with a table, chairs, beds, and a small cabinet for dishes. They rely on a cistern for their water supply and cook their meals over a wood fire. With limited resources, providing enough food and meeting the basic needs of six children is an ongoing challenge.

In spite of these hardships, Angeline is a healthy, cheerful child with a bright future ahead of her. She is an excellent Grade 2 student who works hard in school and enjoys learning. When she is not in class, she loves spending time playing with her brother and sister.

Angeline's parents long to see her continue her education and have opportunities they never had. Sponsorship through the Arms of Jesus will help provide the education, care, and encouragement she needs to thrive while easing some of the burden her parents carry as they faithfully provide for their family. Most importantly, it will remind Angeline that she is loved by God and that there are people praying for her and investing in her future.
