Brock Heard

Brock Heard serves as the Executive Director of The Arms of Jesus Children’s Mission, providing leadership to the mission’s work in Canada, the United States, Guatemala, and Haiti.
Raised in a Christian home, Brock grew up closely connected to the ministry founded by his grandfather, Pastor Sam Martin. From an early age, he witnessed the impact of Christian missions and the difference that compassionate, Christ-centred ministry can make in the lives of children and families.
Brock holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science from Ontario Tech University and a Master of Business Management from the University of Essex. Before joining The Arms of Jesus, he gained leadership experience through several years of work in youth development, recreation, education, and community programming.
Following a mission trip to Guatemala, Brock sensed God calling him to dedicate his life to Christian missions and subsequently joined The Arms of Jesus in a leadership role. That experience gave him a deeply personal connection to the children and families the mission serves and continues to shape his approach to ministry today.
Brock is passionate about sharing the Gospel, strengthening Christ-centred education, and creating opportunities for children and families living in poverty. He is committed to faithfully carrying forward the vision established by Pastor Sam Martin while preparing The Arms of Jesus Children’s Mission for the next generation of ministry.
Brock personally sponsors four children through the mission and values the relationships formed between sponsors, children, and their families as an important part of AOJ’s ministry.
