Board of Directors

Brian Kovack was raised in a Christian home and began taking his faith in Jesus Christ seriously during his late teens. Since then, he has faithfully served the Lord in a variety of lay leadership roles within the churches he has attended.

A long-time supporter of The Arms of Jesus Children's Mission, Brian joined the Board of Directors in 2025. Over the years, he has had the privilege of leading and participating in numerous mission teams to Guatemala, where he has helped build homes for families in need, assisted with food and clothing distributions, and shared the hope of the Gospel with the people of Guatemala.

Brian spent his professional career in the telecommunications industry. He began in residential telephone installation before moving into the installation of commercial voice-switching equipment, eventually specializing in telecommunications solutions design.

His education includes completion of Grade 12, numerous telecommunications product certifications, training in C programming and Production Tree Removal, and earning his Private Pilot Licence, receiving the T.K. Creighton Trophy for excellence in ground school.

Brian and his wife, Janine, have faithfully served their home church in many capacities over the years, including teaching, leading small group Bible studies, serving in Awana, participating on the Board of Elders, and assisting with church building maintenance. Together they raised two daughters who love and follow Jesus, and more recently have been blessed to become grandparents. In retirement, Brian and Janine continue to serve their church while enjoying busy and fulfilling lives together through travel, spending time with family, horsemanship, camping, and boating.
