María José is seven years old and is in 1st grade, and she is a hardworking girl at school. Her teacher says that she is responsible with her homework and is always paying attention to what she is explaining in class. She loves to talk to her classmates and is very energetic. She is getting good grades in her classes, and the father and the grandmother are the ones who are helping her with the school assignments.

Her father is Mr. José Carlos, who is 38 years old. He works in a company that rents houses and apartments for people. At the moment he is in the process of getting a divorce, since he is not living with his wife anymore and she left the home. María José’s grandmother is the one who takes care of her and her brother while the father is working, and when he comes back home, he helps them with the homework and spends time with them. The mother only sees the kids twice per week and only for 4 hours.

They live in a house made with blocks and have a bedroom. As for furniture, they have a cupboard, a table, 2 chairs, and a gas stove. They also have two beds and a wardrobe.

Mr. José Carlos is trying to do his best to provide for his two kids and wants the best for them.
