Keyla

August 25th, 2022

Parramos, Guatemala

From an early age, Keyla has enjoyed the simple things around her. She loves accompanying her father and grandparents when they work in the fields. There, she spends her time observing nature, exploring her surroundings, and using her imagination to create games. Using soil, flowers, and other items she finds nearby, she prepares little "pretend meals" and plays at running her own small shop.

Keyla has long, straight black hair and a cheerful smile. And she is also affectionate, respectful, and well-behaved. She is growing up surrounded by the love and care of her parents, who work hard to provide for her well-being and create better opportunities for her future. Her father, Juan, is 30 years old and works as a farm laborer. In addition, he and his family grow corn and beans for their own use. Her mother, María Reyna, works as a teacher, contributing to the family's support while guiding her daughter's growth and education.

The family lives in a concrete-block house that has been lent to them. The home has one bedroom, a kitchen, and a small bathroom. As for furniture, they have a bed, two wardrobes, a gas stove, a cupboard, and a plastic table with four chairs.

Keyla's parents hope she will have the opportunity to begin her studies at AOJ next year. They believe that education will help her develop her skills, strengthen her knowledge, and prepare for a future filled with greater opportunities.

Would you be the angel in Keyla's life?
