Woodmayson Byron is a young boy born in Cap Rouge communal section of Cayes Jacmel, the south East of Haiti, on February 14, 2019, he is 6. He is in good health. He attends school in first grade, loves school, and is beginning to do well. In his free time, he enjoys playing with his friends and siblings.

Woodmayson lives with his mother, Philomène Byron, who works in agriculture. She is raising five children on her own, as Woodmayson does not have a father. The family lives in a modest two-room house made of stone and covered with tin sheets. Inside, they have basic furniture including a table, chairs, a bed, and a buffet.

Life is very difficult for the family. Philomène is the sole provider, and farming is her only source of income. When the rain doesn’t fall, crops fail, making it even harder to meet the children’s needs. The family faces constant hardship and stress. They collect water from a cistern and use wood for cooking.

Woodmayson is in need of support so that he can live a better life as a child .
