Jacques Jean Pierre is a young boy. He lives in Cap Rouge, communal section of Cayes Jacmel, the South East of Haiti. He was born on May 1, 2012 and he is 13 years old. His father's name is Rinaud Jean Pierre, and his mother's name is Andrelitane Rene. Both his parents work in agriculture and raise animals. They have five children.

Jacques goes to school and is in 4th grade, but he struggles a lot in class and should be in a higher grade. In his free time, he plays marbles with his friends and healthy. He lives with his mother and father in a house made of concrete blocks and covered with sheet metal roof. The house has three rooms and basic furniture like beds, a cabinet, a table, and chairs.

Jacques lives in a very difficult situation because his parents cannot meet all his needs. They depend on their fields and animals to survive. When there is no rain, their crops fail, which puts them in serious difficulty supporting the family. They collect water from a cistern, and when it doesn’t rain, they fetch it from a source. They use wood for cooking.

Jacques needs help with his education, which would also allow his parents to improve their situation despite their limited resources.
