Cap-Rouge, Haiti

Doodina Tanis is a girl who is 11 years old. She was born on July 21, 2014, in Cap-Rouge communal section of Cayes Jacmel, the South East of Haiti.. She is the daughter of Damas Tanis, her father and Amonise Avril, her mother. Regarding her parents’ work, her mother and her father are farmer. Doodina lives in Cap-Rouge in a family of two children. She is a very dedicated student currently in 6th grade, and she is doing very well in her schoolwork. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her sister and spending most of her time with her mother.

The family lives in very modest conditions in a stone house with two rooms and a porch. Inside the house, they only have a bed, a table, a few chairs, and a cupboard. Daily life is a struggle ; they must collect water from a cistern for their needs and use wood to cook their meals. Despite these hardships, Doodina remains in good health, showing her strength and resilience in the face of these challenges.

However, the family’s economic situation has reached a critical point because the father’s harvests have failed, leaving them in a deep financial crisis. Doodina lacks basic care and faces great difficulties because her parents can no longer afford her needs.

She urgently needs support to obtain food, clothing, and school supplies so she can continue her education. This help is not just a donation ; it is an investment in the future of a bright young girl who deserves a chance to grow with dignity despite the poverty she is currently facing.

Would you be the angel in Doodina's life?
