Djoudeleisa

April 8th, 2019
Cap-Rouge, Haiti
Djoudeleisa is a little girl born in Cap Rouge on April 8, 2021, in the communal section of Cayes Jacmel, the south East of Haiti, she is 6. She is in good health. She attends school in first grade and is beginning to do well academically. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her siblings.
She lives with her father, Norbert Byron, and her mother, Solange Barthelemy. Both parents are farmers, and they have three children. The family lives in Cap Rouge in a house made of stone, covered with tin sheets, and it has two rooms. Inside the house, they have a table, chairs, and a bed.
Her parents are living in difficult conditions, which makes it hard for them to care for their children. They rely solely on farming to survive, but due to lack of rain, the harvests are poor, and they face increasing hardship in meeting their children’s needs. Each day, the situation in the country becomes more challenging, worsening their difficulties. They collect water from a cistern and use wood for cooking.
Djoudeleisa would like to receive support to help to continue to survive and improve her living conditions, as life is truly hard for her and her family.
